Dear Valued Customer:
This Technical Service Bulletin has been issued to you as part of an ongoing process designed to optimize your experiences with the Nano eNabler™ system. The objective of this module is to inform the end user about advisable methods for cleaning and sanitizing your instrument.
For general applications, the end user may, on occasion, need to clean the substrate stage or acrylic housing on the humidity enclosure. Typically speaking, this may be achieved through the use of a slightly damp, non-abrasive cloth containing a dilute concentration of mild detergent. For most applications, this will be sufficient to clean work surfaces of the instrument. If surface sanitization is desired, a dilute solution (≤10%) of sodium hypochlorite may be carefully applied with a damp, non-abrasive cloth to the stage and acrylic enclosure. The use of ethyl, isopropyl, or other alcohols for use as a surface sanitizing agent on the acrylic housing is contraindicated. The acrylic humidity enclosure on the Nano eNabler system is susceptible to these agents and will craze upon contact.
Additionally, if you work with materials or cell lines that may become contaminated, please consider the inclusion of appropriate antimicrobials in the spotting or culture medium as an ancillary method of protecting your work.
